CALAS PhD scholars’ sharings on their research work

Irfan and Mehdi have given two nice talks today (Sept 4, 2020) in CityU EE Research Seminar Series to around 70 Ph.D. students from the EE department, CityU. Mehdi’s sharing was about “Reconfigurable Architectures for Electrophysiological Signal Processing”. Irfan’s sharing was about “Novel Design, Architecture, and Optimization of Content-addressable Memory (CAM)”. The talks introduced their impressive research work and got many interesting questions from the audience.

New CALAS PhD Candidates: Welcome Gavin and Gary

We welcome to the team Gavin and Gary, new CALAS PhD Candidates. Guangyan LI (Gavin) received the B.Eng degree in 2020 from the Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong with a first class honor. He was a research-based FYP student under the supervision of Dr. Ray. His research interest includes hardware and information security and lightweight PQC cryptography. Gaoyu MAO (Gary) received his B.Engg. from Shandong University in 2020. His research interests include efficient system design with FPGA and RISC V processor design.

Dr. David Hu’s talk in CALAS Crypto Seminar Series

Dr. David Hu has given a nice talk this Tuesday (July 14, 2020) in CALAS Crypto Seminar Series to around 30 international researchers. The topic was “Recent Progress in Fully Homomorphic Encryptions (Part-II)”. The talk included a live demo and was very informative.

Dr. Ray’s Online Talk in Samsung AI Center, Cambridge

Dr. Ray has given a nice talk on this Wednesday (June 24, 2020) in Samsung AI Center, Cambridge to around 35 International researchers. The topic was “From IoT to Edge-based AIoT: Challenges and Solutions”. The talk was very well received.
